We recognize that training is an investment that will yield dividends for your company. The training we provide is not intended to be a substitute for your existing programs. Rather, our training is designed to complement and build upon the initiatives you have in place.

External training resources can prove useful in a number of ways. As someone who is not connected with your company, we bring an objective approach to resolving workplace challenges that non-stakeholders may not have. Sometimes messaging from an unfamiliar face is all that is needed to combat pushback and achieve greater buy-in from team members.

Here are answers to some frequently asked questions. To read an answer, click on the question. Click on the question again to collapse the information.

  • How can I arrange for a class/seminar/workshop?
  • Contact us with the specific service you would like to arrange for your group and the date you would like to schedule your session. For your convenience, an online request for services form is available on the Request Services page. Please click on the link at the top of the page. Once we receive your information, we will call you at the number you provided to discuss your goals for the session. Please keep in mind that we schedule sessions a minimum of 3 weeks in advance.

  • What types of payment do you accept?
  • You may pay with a business check or with a credit or debit card through PayPal. Half of the session fee is due upon contract signing. This is considered the deposit. The remainder of the fee is payable on the day of the session following delivery of services.

  • Do you offer classes/seminars/workshops other than those that are listed?
  • Yes. You are not limited to sessions listed on the previous pages. We can develop a session specifically for your company or group. This service falls under curriculum development. For more information, please visit the curriculum development page.

  • What equipment do you need for your sessions?
  • To ensure optimal conditions for the session, the following audio-visual equipment is requested: (1) a Microsoft PowerPoint compatible LCD projection system; (2) a lavalier microphone (preferred) or freestanding microphone; (3) a white board or flip chart with stand; (4) dry erase or regular markers; (5) a table at the front of the room for our materials; and (6) a podium. For presentations used during the session, we will provide presentations stored on our personal computer equipment.

  • Will I be able to communicate directly with you prior to my session?
  • Yes. We are available to meet with you personally to discuss the goals for your session. Typically, we consult with our clients at the initial reservation phase, two weeks prior to the session, and again two days prior to the session. Additionally, we like to arrive at the venue at least two hours prior to the start time of the session.

  • Are your workbooks available for sale?
  • Yes. Please contact us for information on pricing packages and special discounts for volume purchases.

  • Do you offer any kind of follow-up services after the training is complete?
  • Yes, we do. Our "after care" services include distance training solutions where members of your team can participate in an online learning environment with their peers. We are also available to facilitate follow-up lunch and learn sessions for your team. Please contact us for additional information on these services.

  • Does your fee include copying costs and travel expenses?
  • No, it does not. Rather than including copy costs and charging a higher fee, we pass the savings on to our clients, many of whom opt to use their in-house reprographic services or to outsource copying to their preferred vendor. Approximately two weeks prior to a session, we will provide you with an electronic copy and a CD copy of all materials needed for the session. Travel expenses including mileage, parking, airfare, ground transportation, and hotel accommodations, where applicable, are charged in addition to the session fee.

  • Do you provide consulting services to out-of-state clients?
  • Yes, we do. For locations necessitating extended travel, airfare and hotel accommodation expenses are added on to the normal session fee. Typically, we require that these expenses be paid upfront at booking. For locations within a five-hour driving distance, mileage expenses and traveling time will be charged in addition to the session fee.

  • Do you offer sessions that span over a few days or even a week?
  • We do. The list of sessions is provided as a guide for potential clients. We can provide shortened, more compact sessions in a lunch-and-learn format which typically lasts between 2 and 3 hours. Alternatively, we can provide a more in-depth coverage of topics in a longer format lasting anywhere from a few days to a week. We actually prefer longer sessions as they allow a greater opportunity for meaningful group exercises. Our goal, no matter the length of a session, is to ensure that we present the material effectively and in a way that proves productive for the attendees.

  • What is your cancellation policy?
  • We understand that circumstances may arise which necessitate cancelling a previously scheduled session. All cancellation notices must be received in writing. If notice is received within fifteen business days of the session, the full session facilitation fee is required. If notice is received within sixteen to thirty business days of the session, the deposit is retained. If notice is received prior to thirty business days of the session date, the entire deposit will be refunded.

  • Can I record or videotape the session?
  • Yes. A minimum of one-week advance written notice is required. Additionally, permission to record may result in a higher fee. We do ask that you provide us with a copy of the recording or videotape. A portion of the proceeds from resale is standard.

One of the concerns people often express about training is whether it
is necessary to hire an outside consultant to conduct a session when
less expensive in-house training options are readily available.
